Facebook aims to plug in its real-time content gap by buying FriendFeed, a social network aggregator that lets users create custom feeds from content from Facebook, Digg, YouTube and other services. One analyst says FriendFeed is Facebook’s consolation prize for failing to buy popular microblog service Twitter.
